Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actor, singer and songwriter. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her voice, she started to build confidence. Not only did it boost her confidence but her ambitions were changed. When she was 22, she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. When she turned 23 she began her professional career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've got mail. The greatest achievement of her career was when she played The Lady Of The Lake as Spamalot's first Broadway production. In addition to being the only actress to get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by reviewers. Later in the same year she appeared on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider acceptance for the role. She is also a known performer and has published an extended version of her play. As an activist, she works tirelessly for LGBT equality.
