Lita Rossana Ford is a British-born American singer, guitarist and writer. The latter half of the 1970s she was the guitarist in the hard rocking all-girl band The Runaways. The group did not have much of a following within the United States. However, their fame grew internationally, particularly in Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and prosperous career as a heavy-metal solo performer after the band split from 1979. After receiving voice classes, Ford launched her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve much with either album and was largely absent from the world of rock for 10 years. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music by releasing a dazzling album titled 'Lita. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. However, her popularity was not long-lasting and she disappeared from the music industry for a few years. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
